Therapy is an investment in your well-being.
Having clear, upfront information can help you decide what feels right for you.
I aim to keep my practice straightforward and transparent, so you can focus on whether this feels like a good fit—without surprises or pressure.
Mindful Pathways Counseling is a self-pay practice.
This model keeps therapy focused on you—your needs, your goals, and the pace that feels most supportive—rather than on insurance requirements or limitations.
Many clients appreciate the flexibility, privacy, and personalized care this approach allows.
Why I don’t accept insurance.
Insurance companies often require a mental health diagnosis, detailed treatment plans, and ongoing documentation to cover therapy.
They may also limit the frequency, length, or type of sessions.
But many of the concerns my clients bring—life transitions, parenting stress, caregiving, or medical experiences—don’t always fit neatly into those categories.
A self-pay model allows therapy to be:
Personalized and responsive to your needs
Flexible in focus, frequency, and approach
More private, with fewer third parties involved
This helps keep the therapeutic relationship collaborative and centered on your care—not on billing requirements.
Out-of-Network Benefits
While I do not bill insurance directly, I’m happy to provide a superbill for possible reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits.
Coverage varies by plan, so it’s a good idea to contact your provider and ask about:
Out-of-network mental health coverage
Reimbursement rates
Applicable deductibles
Session Rates
Starting therapy is an investment in your well-being, and having clear, upfront information can help you decide what feels right for you. I aim to keep my practice straightforward and transparent, so you can focus on whether this feels like a good fit—without surprises or pressure.
